Since 1949, International Board of Jewish Missions (IBJM) has been reaching out to God’s chosen people, the Jews, with the Good News of Messiah – the Lord Jesus Christ. God loves the Jewish people and has a clear, biblical plan for the nation of Israel in the future. However, the most urgent need today is for the individual Jew to receive personal salvation by grace, through faith in the Messiah. Our founder, Dr. Jacob Gartenhaus, dedicated his life to spreading the gospel among his people.
The ultimate purpose of IBJM is to bring the Jewish people in direct contact with the truth of the gospel. However, we recognize that the responsibility for evangelizing every nation with the gospel lies at the door of the local church. The Bible declares that the gospel of Christ is “…to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
