DEFINING A TRUE FRIEND OF ISRAEL

Dear Partners,

Many years ago, I read an article written by a US Marine Corps Vietnam veteran who was a pastor and, at that time, Founder and President of a well-known Baptist Bible college. In the article, he defined a “true friend of Israel” as only “someone who would be willing to join the IDF (Israeli Defense Force) and fight alongside them in time of war.” At the time I read this statement, I thought that this definition was a little extreme. However, since October 7, 2023, I have changed my perception and must admit that I think he was perhaps correct.

Since Israel’s War against Hamas began four months ago, without being sworn in officially by the IDF and donning their drab green, khaki uniform, our staff in Israel (along with the prayers and financial help from our partners) has joined Israel in its battle against the terrorist organization, Hamas, and we are prevailing!

Your willingness to join forces with us has allowed our ministry to provide tens of thousands of hot meals, along with thousands of gift boxes containing personal hygiene items, including warm socks and fresh towels for both men and women soldiers who are protecting Israel on all three fronts of the war.

Besides being able to be a blessing to our fighting soldiers on the front lines, our staff has also been able to help, in a major way, hundreds of families and individuals who lost loved ones, their homes, and all their personal belongings in the initial, horrific attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023.

To hear the testimonies and see tears of joy on the faces of these “children of Abraham” who have lost everything, when they learn that there are Christians around the world who are providing for these gifts, is impossible to describe in words.

I hope this short video above will help you experience the joy on the faces of some of those whose lives have been brightened in these, otherwise dark days, by these special gifts from the Israel Ministry Fund, which you have helped provide, along with a gospel witness whenever possible.
