They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. Jeremiah 6:14

PEACE, PEACE; WHEN THERE IS NO PEACE

For almost 3500 years, ever since their Exodus from Egypt, Israel has been at war with peoples and nations that want to destroy them and take the land, which God gave to Israel through His unconditional promise to Abraham. This tiny piece of land, situated in the center of the world, is coveted by her enemies who surround her, some of which have vowed to “eradicate Israel from the face of the earth!”

Officially, Israel has been in a ceasefire with Hamas terrorists since October 3, 2025. However, two of our IDF friends, Daniel and Asaph, are quick to remind us that “Israel is still at war with those enemies who want to kill us.” On November 28, 2025, less than two months after the ceasefire, six of their soldiers were ambushed and wounded on the Israeli/Syrian border where they serve. Thankfully, some of these soldiers were only lightly wounded, possibly thanks to the ceramic, bulletproof vests that had recently been provided to their units through our Israel Relief Fund.

Until the ceasefire on October 3, 2025, Israel had been actively at war with Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, and Yemen for two years. This war has left a path of destruction to homes and neighborhoods in the land, but the price Israeli families have had to pay because of this war dwarfs the cost of the destruction to physical property.

Hundreds of mothers and fathers have lost sons and daughters, beginning with those murdered at the Nova party on October 7, 2023, by Hamas terrorists. Multitudes of wives have been widowed and left with children to care for because of the war. Thousands of soldiers have been wounded in the war, and many civilians have been killed, leaving families devastated.

On July 27, 2024, a missile from Hezbollah hit a soccer field in the northern border town of Majdal Shams, an Israeli Druze village, instantly killing 12 children ages 7 to 15, leaving their parents devastated. Your financial gifts to the Israel Relief Fund enabled us to donate a financial gift to each of the parents of the 12 children killed and to show the love of Jesus Christ to a people who are lost and searching for spiritual truth.

Our workers in Israel are continuing to receive requests for financial help from individual families and IDF soldiers who have been recalled to service, who want to help their units. Some of the company commanders have even asked for counseling services for those soldiers and families who have emotionally suffered from the war.

For the past two years, your gifts have enabled our ministry to show the love of Christ to thousands of Israelis who have been affected by the war, and already this year, there are still many more who are seeking our help. Our prayer is that we will be able to depend on your continued gifts throughout 2026 to help those who have suffered so much in the past two years. WE ARE COUNTING ON YOU, AND THEY ARE COUNTING ON US!

About IBJM

IBJM was founded in 1949 by Dr. Jacob Gartenhaus. Brought up in an Orthodox Jewish home in Austria, he moved to New York City in his early twenties where he trusted Jesus as Messiah and Savior after reading Isaiah 53.

Persecuted and beaten by friends and forsaken by his family, the young Gartenhaus was led by God to become an ambassador to his own people, establishing the IBJM ministry.
