Giving Tuesday

The Tuesday after Thanksgiving is known as Giving Tuesday — a day dedicated to supporting the causes and ministries close to your heart. On this Giving Tuesday, find out how you can participate in our project to upgrade our Norwood Ministry Center.

Dear Friends and Partners,

This season of Thanksgiving provides all of us here at IBJM an important opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude for your steadfast support for our ministry in reaching Jewish people with the gospel. The Lord has used you to provide abundantly for our needs during the difficult days of the past two years. He is faithful and His mercies are new every morning!

Giving Tuesday provides a unique opportunity to share with you an important project that requires an infusion of special support to meet a particular need for our ministry. Last year, we asked your help with a project to refurbish the Gartenhaus Training Center. Thanks to your generosity the Lord allowed us to make several improvements. We replaced the signage on the building and refurbished all our guest rooms which provide lodging for missionaries and other guests.

This Giving Tuesday we would like to propose to you another multifaceted project for your consideration focused on making some necessary improvements to our main office building, The Norwood Ministry Center. This project includes the installment of some security measures, including gated entries and surveillance cameras.

It will also include refurbishing the façade of the main entry and side entry to the building, work which has already begun. Repairs are needed on the aluminum siding of the building to prevent leakage, before painting the entire structure. There is also a need to replace a specialty air conditioning system which provides climate control to protect our computer and server equipment rooms.

The façade renewal will match the design themes of our Everlasting Nation Museum, also located in this building, which attracted more than 1000 visitors last year.

These are important, but often costly, infrastructure investments necessary to maintain the integrity and functionality of the properties which God has entrusted to us as our home base to support the mission effort of reaching Jewish communities in many countries around the world. These improvements will make our building more functional, attractive, and secure.

Our practice has always been not to take on any debt to do this kind of work. We have depended on the consistent generosity of our donors to supply the finances to make such improvements. Sometimes that has meant waiting or doing the needed work in stages. God has honored that approach.

During this special post-Thanksgiving time focused on charitable giving, we would like to again ask you to consider a special gift, your best gift, toward the completion of this project to make these much needed upgrades to our Norwood Ministry Center building.

We are grateful for all that the Lord has done this year through our missionaries and their dedicated efforts to reach Jewish people with the gospel. We have seen Jewish souls saved, like Mark and Barry, who are now walking with the Lord. They are fruit to your account too.

Thank you for the vital part you play in making our gospel outreach to Jewish people possible. If you would like to participate in this year’s special project, you may send your gift via the link below, and it will be a welcome boost to help us fund these upgrades.  We are asking the Lord to provide sufficient funds to complete these specific projects during the first half of 2022.

We wish you and your family a very blessed holiday season! God is faithful and we can certainly count our many blessings and it would be a very long list. Our family of donors are certainly among our greatest blessings. Thank you for your concern and care for our IBJM ministries.

Giving thanks for you and yours,

John C. Lawrence

About IBJM

IBJM was founded in 1949 by Dr. Jacob Gartenhaus. Brought up in an Orthodox Jewish home in Austria, he moved to New York City in his early twenties where he trusted Jesus as Messiah and Savior after reading Isaiah 53.

Persecuted and beaten by friends and forsaken by his family, the young Gartenhaus was led by God to become an ambassador to his own people, establishing the IBJM ministry.
