New York City Summer Evangelistic Outreach

Spreading the Good News

This summer you have a unique opportunity to help spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus the Messiah to God’s chosen people.

As part of our team, you will experience Jewish life as you share the gospel in bustling city neighborhoods that are alive with people.

As you distribute literature and share your faith, some will perhaps stop and ask you more about the hope that lies within you. You will then have opportunities to share your testimony and the good news of the gospel message. This will be an occasion to have a spiritual impact on hundreds of people in the course of this memorable week.

Evangelism Training

We are committed to equipping you in every way possible so that you may be able to have an effective outreach to God’s chosen people during this exciting week. You will have the opportunity to witness one-on-one to Jewish people.

Our Jewish friends are a special people—proud of their religion and heritage. For this reason, IBJM provides specialized training. Experienced workers will instruct you on how to approach and share the gospel with Jewish people.

New York City

Approximately nine million people make their homes within the city limits of this massive “concrete jungle.” During the 19th and 20th centuries, millions of Jewish immigrants escaping pogroms, persecution, and the Holocaust found a safe haven in New York. They established strong religious and social centers to secure their traditions and customs. Today the New York metro area is home to approximately 1.7 million Jewish people, at present the second largest Jewish population in the world. Tragically, this city has been grossly neglected as a 21st century mission field. You will participate in inviting Jewish people to a “Thank God For Israel Sunday” at All Nations Baptist Church.

About IBJM

IBJM was founded in 1949 by Dr. Jacob Gartenhaus. Brought up in an Orthodox Jewish home in Austria, he moved to New York City in his early twenties where he trusted Jesus as Messiah and Savior after reading Isaiah 53.

Persecuted and beaten by friends and forsaken by his family, the young Gartenhaus was led by God to become an ambassador to his own people, establishing the IBJM ministry.
